Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers to the most common questions about fuel calculations, measurements, backups, and data storage in Truck Fuel Book.
What should I enter in the mileage field?
If you enter a value below 9999, the app treats it as distance traveled from the previous stop. If you enter a value above 9999, the app treats it as the odometer reading.
When does the app calculate a real fuel measurement?
Real measurement is calculated only when you use either Tank Full or Dipstick / Probe. Without one of these, the app can still calculate by norm, but it cannot compare against a real measured fuel result.
What does “Tank Full” mean?
Use it when you refuel to the top. This gives the app a real checkpoint and improves fuel accuracy for the trip.
What is Dipstick / Probe used for?
Use it when you know exactly how much fuel is currently in the tank. It works as a real measurement point, similar to a manual tank check.
What is the difference between norm consumption and actual MPG?
Norm consumption is the expected result based on the truck, load, and route setup. Actual MPG is the trip result shown by the app for that route calculation. In MPG mode, the app compares this result against your Target MPG.
Why do I see economy or overspend only sometimes?
Economy or overspend appears only when the app has enough valid data to make that comparison. If there is no valid measurement point, it may stay empty.
Can I edit a saved trip later?
Only partially. In History, the edit option currently lets you update the trip name and company data. The full trip stops and fuel entries are not edited from that screen.
How do backups work?
The app supports local backup to a ZIP file on your device and Google Drive backup in PRO. Backups are manual only. Nothing is uploaded automatically.
Is Google Drive backup included in the free version?
No. Google Drive backup and restore are available only in PRO.
Where is my data stored?
Your trip data is stored mainly on your device. The app does not require registration and does not keep your trip history on a private server.
Does the app work offline?
Yes. The main trip, fuel, history, and report features work offline. Internet is only needed for ads in the free version, Google Drive backup in PRO, and Google Play purchases.
